Broncos WR Tim Patrick carted off, feared to have injured Achilles in practice

Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick, who missed last season with a torn ACL, had to be carted off today with a potential Achilles injury

Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick missed the entire 2022 season with a torn ACL and he may have just suffered another significant leg injury in practice on Monday. According to James Palmer, Patrick went down on the second play of seven-on-seven drills with a non-contact left leg injury.

He had to be carted off the field, throwing his helmet out of frustration. Trainers looked at his lower left leg, checking out his ankle and foot area.

Head coach Sean Payton said after practice that it’s feared to be an Achilles injury for Patrick.

The last time Patrick was on the field, he played 16 games for the Broncos in 2021. He caught a career-high 53 passes for 734 yards and scored five touchdowns, his second straight season with at least 50 receptions, 700 yards and five scores.

Patrick is competing to be the Broncos’ No. 3 receiver alongside Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.
