A look through Bengals history at the No. 42.

The No. 42 over the course of Cincinnati Bengals has had some interesting names fans might recognize.

There was the brief BenJarvus Green-Ellis era in 2012. Safety Chris Croker played a memorable role in some solid Bengals defenses starting in 2008. And older fans might remember running back Boobie Clark, who from 1973-1978 rushed for 2,978 yards and 25 scores, averaging 3.8 yards per attempt and playing a key role in some strong teams.

With about 42 days until the Bengals walk onto the field for the season opener, here’s a look at every player to wear the number in Bengals history, per Pro Football Reference.
