Despite the rumor mill churning in recent weeks that a potential trade could be on the horizon for Pro Bowl outside linebacker and former LSU star [autotag]Danielle Hunter[/autotag], he’s sticking around in Minneapolis with a hefty payday.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Hunter agreed to a one-year extension with the Vikings worth $20 million, $17 million of which is guaranteed.

Hunter has played his entire eight-year career in Minnesota, earning three Pro Bowl selections (most recently last season) and Second-Team All-Pro honors in 2018. He has 71 sacks on his career, 10.5 of which came in 2022.

Now, he’ll be sticking around with another former LSU star in [autotag]Justin Jefferson[/autotag].

Hunter played at LSU from 2012-14, becoming a third-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft for the Vikings.
