Titans’ Tre’Shaun Harrison an early standout among bubble WRs

Titans UDFA and WR Tre’Shaun Harrison has become a player to watch after an impressive early showing in training camp.

Throughout the offseason, it seemed like rookie wideouts Kearis Jackson and Jacob Copeland were the undrafted free agent pass-catchers that a lot of Tennessee Titans fans and media (ourselves included) were most excited about.

However, after the first few days of training camp, it appears as if it’s another one of the UDFA wide receivers who largely flew under the radar that has been making the most noise early on.

Tre’Shaun Harrison has been standing out this offseason, and especially on Saturday when he flashed his skill set and had some nice reps in both individual and team periods.

“Undrafted receiver Tre’Shaun Harrison did some good things during the offseason, and he’s carried that over into camp,” Titans beat writer Jim Wyatt wrote on Saturday. “Harrison made a pair of catches on 1-on-1s, and he made a great catch when he kept the ball from hitting the ground on Levis pass.”

Here’s a look at two of the plays Harrison made on Saturday, courtesy of Wyatt:

Harrison played in 27 games at Oregon State, making 17 starts and tallying 90 receptions for 1,147 yards and eight touchdowns over his three years there. Before that, he recorded 37 catches for 355 yards and three touchdowns with Florida State from 2018-2019.

The Titans figure to have four or five receiver spots mostly set with DeAndre Hopkins, Treylon Burks, Kyle Philips, Chris Moore and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

However, if a sixth is carried into 2023, or if guys like Moore or NWI badly stumble, it would open up another opportunity for the players behind them.

Harrison’s stiffest competition for one of the final spots on the depth chart are Racey McMath and Colton Dowell, neither of whom are major roadblocks in any sense of the word.

The next step for Harrison is to keep stacking positive days once the pads go on next week. If he does that, Harrison will make this competition at wide receiver much more interesting.
