Injury knocks Dolphins star CB out for both 2023 games vs Patriots

Dolphins star CB reportedly out until December with a knee injury

Jalen Ramsey won’t be in the defensive backfield when the Miami Dolphins take the field against the New England Patriots in the 2023 season.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Friday that the six-time Pro Bowl cornerback would be out until December after undergoing a full meniscus repair.

There’s obviously nothing positive about an injury, and the hope is that Ramsey recovers and comes back to being the great player that he’s shown throughout his NFL career. But from a Patriots perspective, it does help them to not face both Ramsey and Xavien Howard when they run into the Dolphins in Week 2 and Week 8 in the regular season.

Of course, the Dolphins have bedeviled the Patriots in the past, while Ramsey played elsewhere. So this isn’t exactly some huge shift in advantage for New England.

Howard and company will cause enough problems for the Patriots’ struggling offense. That’s never a good thing when having to keep pace with a Dolphins team with seemingly endless weapons at the skilled positions.
