Former UNC football player Sam Howell enters Washington Commanders training camp as QB1 and the starting job is his to lose.
The Commanders brought in Jacoby Brissett and Jake Fromm to compete but Howell does have the inside track. In his rookie year, Howell started in just one game, leading the Commanders to a win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Now, the next few weeks for Howell are crucial in terms of being the starter as the team is in training camp. A good training camp can help solidify his status as the starter and hopefully a bright future ahead.
