Training camp is here for teams around the NFL. Players reported this week to begin preparation for the 2023 season.
There are more than 30 former Wisconsin Badgers at camps around the NFL, that number being sure to drop when 53-man rosters are finalized.
One player with a locked-in roster spot is former Wisconsin star running back Jonathan Taylor. The college football legend had offseason ankle surgery after an injury-plagued 2022 campaign. As he works back to health, news broke yesterday that Taylor will begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list.
The expectation is Taylor will be ready to go by the time preseason games roll around.

The big story regarding the former Badger is his contract situation. Taylor is entering the final season of his rookie deal and given recent developments in the running back market, a lucrative long-term deal may be tough to come by.
