The Brooklyn Nets have been open to pulling off a trade or two this offseason to try to balance out the roster to make a playoff run next season. Since Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard no longer is willing to be traded to the Nets, Brooklyn could turn its sights to Miami Heat scorer Tyler Herro, but a trade for Herro may take longer than anyone would like.

According to recent reporting from Chris Haynes of TNT and Bleacher Report, the Heat are getting “frustrated” with the Trail Blazers as the teams look to get a deal done for Lillard. Haynes said on the “#thisleague UNCUT” podcast that Miami is getting frustrated because Portland will not give them any direction over what kind of return they want in exchange for Lillard.

For the Nets, this development is disappointing given the fact that if they are going to be the third team that helps the Lillard deal get done, Brooklyn would reportedly get Herro for their troubles, it would be preferable for the trade to happen before training camp begins in the fall. At this point, it’s hard to know when the Lillard trade will happen since Portland general manager Joe Cronin said that if the deal takes months to complete, then that’s what will happen.
