This offseason hasn’t been kind to the running back position as players like Dalvin Cook and Ezekial Elliott have been released to avoid paying them a large salary. Several running backs around the league held a Zoom call on Saturday to talk about their concerns and how to handle them. Though he is signed through the 2024 season the Cleveland Browns ball carrier Nick Chubb participated in the call knowing he could be a cap casualty to the market next offseason similar to Dalvin Cook.
He was asked about this at training camp and all thought he said he is locked in for 2024 he knows that the position is at crossroads moving forward.
His guaranteed money dries up after this season in Cleveland, so the conversation could become more relevant in 2024 for Chubb.
