Sunday Night Baseball always delivers with the mic’d up segments. From impressive plays to enjoyable moments, it’s always great to see MLB players showcasing their personality during these fun segments.
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers is no exception to the list either. On Sunday, Devers was mic’d up by the ESPN crew at the top of the third inning, which turned into an all-timer of a segment. With Devers mic’d up, the Sunday Night Baseball announcers asked the third baseman fan questions to fill the time. One of them being, what is Devers’ favorite ice cream flavor?
After giving an answer, Devers had to field a pop up, resulting in a hilarious “aye yai yai” moment that had the broadcasters chuckling as well.
Petition for Rafael Devers to wear a mic for the rest of eternity.
He just loves playing baseball. And ice cream.

What a treasure Devers is. MLB fans all agreed too, as they all absolutely adored Devers’ mic’d up time on Sunday Night Baseball.
