The Indianapolis Colts are expected to sign free-agent defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad, first reported Friday by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
A familiar face, Muhammad spent four seasons with the Colts (2018-2021) under former defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus.
Colts reached agreement today on a one-year deal with their former starting defensive end Al Quadin Muhammad. His agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey confirmed the deal.

After hitting free agency in 2022, Muhammad followed Eberflus to the Windy City when he took over as the head coach of the Chicago Bears. He appeared in all 16 games while making nine starts for the Bears. He recorded 1.0 sack, one tackle for loss and three quarterback hits.
In his four seasons with the Colts, Muhammad appeared in 64 games while making 25 starts. During that span, he recorded 11.0 sacks, 22 tackles for loss and 30 quarterback hits.
It’s likely Muhammad will be competing for one of the final spots on the roster in the defensive line room.
