MLB teams just did something we haven’t seen since 1894 (!)

WHOA.

That’s right, no lie: We just saw MLB history get made on Wednesday night, and you might not have noticed.

Twelve teams on the day scored in double digits — the Twins, Royals, Tigers, Cubs, Reds, Giants, Diamondbacks, Braves, Mets, White Sox, Guardians and Dodgers.

When’s the last time that happened? Per ESPN Stats and Info: It’s the most teams in double digits since … 1894, when there were 13 squads who did that. WILD.

MORE: All 30 MLB stadiums, ranked for 2023

Also noteworthy: Four games featured BOTH teams scoring double digits, which last happened in that same year. The fireworks were everywhere! And imagine losing a game you scored that much in!
