Four-star UNC football target sets decision date, visits

A four-star UNC football wide receiver target has set his decision date as well as two visits.

The recruitment for a four-star athlete in the 2024 recruiting class is coming to an end.

Athlete Jonathan Paylor took to Twitter on Tuesday night to reveal that he has set a decision date. He will officially announce his college decision on August 5th at Cummings High School in Burlington, North Carolina at 2 p.m. ET.

Paylor has a total of 25 offers in his recruitment but will make his decision between UNC, South Carolina, NC State, Penn State, and Maryland. In addition to setting a decision date, Paylor will also visit two programs next week.

Per Cory Smith of Pack Pride, Paylor will visit NC State on July 28th and then take a trip to North Carolina on July 29th.

Both South Carolina and NC State have been the top two teams in this recruitment for a while now with the Gamecocks reportedly holding the lead for a while. However, the Wolfpack have closed the gap per reports and could make a surprise run.

As for North Carolina, the book isn’t closed because he does have an unofficial visit scheduled, but they have a lot of ground to make up in this race.

Paylor is ranked No. 206 nationally, the No. 16 athlete and No. 6 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports rankings.
