After months of what felt like hopelessness at the wide receiver position, the Tennessee Titans finally made the big splash many of us desperately wanted to see, agreeing to a deal with DeAndre Hopkins.
This move was massive for a variety of different reasons, but most importantly it gives the team real hope again ahead of training camp.
While this move may have been criticized by many, it’s hard to argue that signing Hopkins was something the Titans absolutely needed to do if they wanted a legitimate chance at being competitive in 2023.
This move provides some much-needed stability to a wide receivers room that desperately needed it, and it also gives the Titans a talented wideout who is capable of cracking the top 10 at his position on an annual basis.

Despite people trying to claim Hopkins is washed, the “Madden NFL 24” video game doesn’t see it that way, as it gave Hopkins an overall rating of 93, the seventh-highest mark among players at his position in the game.

And, believe it or not, that rating actually comes in two points higher than what former Titans and current Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is currently rated (91).
Madden ratings may not mean much in the grand scheme of things, but after everything Titans fans have been through since they traded Brown away, it’s nice to at least have some genuine hope again out wide.
