Poffenbarger holds basketball skills camp at Farmington High School

Saylor Poffenbarger is trying to get on the all-community team after being all-SEC as a redshirt freshman in 2022-23.

Saylor Poffenbarger probably remembered growing up and going to camps as a youngster, and so she and a few of her teammates decided to return the favor to some young girls in Northwest Arkansas earlier this week.

Poffenbarger enlisted the help of teammates Jenna Lawrence, who just graduated from Farmington and won the 4A state championship, and Taliah Scott.

They did skill segments with the younger campers in first-third grades, and then the fourth-sixth graders did more competitive scrimmage type scenarios.

Poffenbarger, who transferred from UConn after playing with the Huskies for a season, will be going into her redshirt sophomore season after an SEC all-freshman campaign a year ago.

Her mother starred at Missouri as a point guard from 1990-94.
