Ever since word broke that the Boston Celtics had signed 6-foot-9 floor general Dalano Banton, fans of the team had been itching to get a look at what the former Toronto Raptors point guard can do on the court in the Celtics system.
After recovering from a minor injury to one of his fingers, Banton obliged in the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League. He put up a team-high 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists in Boston’s loss to the New York Knicks on Friday in his second game of the annual exhibition series. Banton’s rebounding and shot-blocking abilities stood out, demonstrating his impact on defense, but it was his success on the other end of the court that turned heads.
To see more of his play from that game, check out the clip embedded below put together by fan-favorite videographer Tomasz Kordylewski’s official YouTube channel.
