Ducks Wire reveals its pick for Colorado’s biggest game in 2023

.@Ducks_Wire revealed its pick for Colorado’s biggest game in 2023

The schedule makers did Colorado no favors for the 2023 season. For starters, the Buffs face TCU on the road before host Matt Rhule and Nebraska in Week 2. They also face USC in head coach Deion Sanders’ first Pac-12 home game, and the Trojans have lofty expectations.

Don Smalley of Ducks Wire broke down each Pac-12 football team’s biggest game for the upcoming season, and he picked Nebraska for Colorado:

Colorado is the enigma of the Pac-12 this season. No one knows, perhaps even the Buffaloes themselves, what to expect. It would have been nice to open up with a cupcake, but Colorado goes to TCU to begin the 2023 season. While that’s a big game to be sure, the most important game has to be the first home game and it’s against former Big 8 rival Nebraska. A win here would justify the fans’ excitement for the season and give the team confidence for the remainder of the year. The Cornhuskers are also rebuilding and the Buffs could definitely come out on top.

Both programs have new head coaches and Rhule returning to college after a failed NFL stint is an interesting storyline; Coach Prime moving from Jackson State to a Power Five program is another. We’ll be seeing two programs right in the middle of a rebuild facing off against each other.
