As Barry Alvarez once famously said, “They better get season tickets right now, because before long they probably won’t be able to.” The year was 1990, and since the 1994 season that has been exactly the case.
The official Wisconsin athletics Twitter account announced today student football season tickets were sold out for the 30th consecutive season.
Whether Wisconsin made the move to hire Luke Fickell or not, this was likely a certainty. But Fickell has created unmatched energy and excitement from Badger fans young and old. It doesn’t seem like filling the stadium in the fall will be anything close to an issue.

Wisconsin kicks off its 2023 campaign September 2 when Buffalo comes to town. While out-of-conference play may not be the biggest draw, I’d expect a packed house for Fickell’s debut as head coach.
