After dropping their opener in the California Classic against the Sacramento Kings, the Golden State Warriors got on the board in the Summer League on Wednesday afternoon against the Charlotte Hornets.
Lester Quinones stayed hot in the Summer League with 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field to go along with three assists and two rebounds in 27 minutes.
In a matchup against 2023 No. 2 overall pick Brandon Miller, Warriors rookie Brandin Podziemski notched 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the floor to go along with four rebounds and an assist. Podziemski showed off his long range jumper, hitting a pair of triples on six attempts from deep.
The Santa Clara product was also active on the defensive side of the floor, recording a game-high five steals and one block in 26 minutes.
On the other side of the floor, Miller struggled, scoring six points on 2-of-4 shooting with four turnovers and eight fouls in 28 minutes.
2022 second round pick Gui Santos looked solid for the second consecutive Summer League contest, scoring 18 points on an efficient 7-of-9 shooting from the floor with five rebounds and two assists.

Following their two-game stint in the California Classic in Sacramento, the Warriors will now turn their attention to Las Vegas for the remainder of the Summer League. The Warriors will be on the floor against the Lakers at 8 p.m. PT on Friday in Las Vegas.
