A bounce-back season seems to be in store for Head Coach Greg Gard and the 2023-24 Wisconsin Badgers.
A 20-15 record in 2022-23 saw the program miss the NCAA Tournament for just the second time since 1998. While a deep run in the NIT gave fans some late-season excitement, the standard for the program is consistent tournament births, and a lot of wins on that stage.
Improvement was needed this offseason to return the Badgers to their regular spot towards the top of the Big Ten and in the NCAA Tournament. Indications are that improvement happened, with transfer G A.J. Storr bringing a promising offensive game and the entire core from last year’s team sticking around.
247Sports’ latest bracketology sees that bounce-back, as the piece has Wisconsin in as an 8-seed in the South Region. I would not be surprised if Wisconsin easily surpassed that mark and entered toward the top of one of the regions.
