The Brooklyn Nets have made various moves, either through trade or free-agency, in an attempt to fill some needs as well as making the team as competitive as possible for next season and beyond. With reports earlier in the summer that Brooklyn could be looking to trade some of its wing depth, the Nets may have a team that could show interest in one of their players.
According to Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report, Brooklyn forward Royce O’Neale should be a main trade target for the NBA-champion Denver Nuggets. Buckley points out how the Nuggets’ main trio of Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Michael Porter Jr. will inevitably be lacking on the defensive end because of how much each player has to do on offense.
While Aaron Gordon will be back with Denver for next season to provide some of that defensive balance, the Nuggets will lose Bruce Brown and Jeff Green is still a free-agent at this time. O’Neale is one of those wings that can make an impact on any team because of his ability to provide an offensive spark from the three-point line and can defend multiple positions on the defensive end.
