Arkansas’ path back to the NCAA Tournament will be tough

With seven SEC teams coming off a Dance bid, Arkansas will have its work cut out for it.

A day after the men’s SEC basketball scheduled was released, the league announced the womens’ slate.

Mike Neighbors will head into his seventh year running the program. Last year, the Razorbacks made the final eight of the NIT. The two years before, Arkansas was an NCAA Tournament team.

The Hogs are expected to be there again in 2023-24. The SEC sent seven teams to the NCAA Tournament last year, meaning Arkansas’ path back won’t exactly be easy.

Missouri, Alabama and Kentucky are the three teams Arkansas will play twice next year. One home, one away. Visiting Bud Walton Arena will be Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. The Razorbacks travel to Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi State and South Carolina were the NCAA teams last year.
