The Colorado Buffaloes pulled together a huge haul of explosive athletes this offseason, including multiple highly-ranked high school prospects and a slurry of Powe Five transfers. CU drastically improved its overall talent level, but strong football teams reach the greatest heights when under-the-radar players produce as well.
You can look at every winning roster and pick out a few undrafted players or low-ranked prospects who produced. Former Buff Rodney “Speedy” Stewart is the perfect example of this type of player.
Who can be that player for the 2023 Colorado Buffaloes? We went to Jimmie Searfoss of BuffStampede once again to ask him which under-the-radar player he believes will make an impact this fall:
On offense I really like what Javon Antonio has been doing. I think he really rounds out the receivers well with his size and has been bullying the coverage that’s been put on him in practice.
