Florida track and field sprinter Talitha Diggs was named the NCAA Division I Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-American of the Year by the College Sports Communicators on Wednesday afternoon. She joined jumper Claire Bryant on the Academic All-American First Team — the first CSC All-American honors of both their careers.
Digg’s also earned the SEC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year award this season, adding to her other accomplishments which included the 2023 SEC Indoor 400m Champion, while further bolstering her collegiate resume that dates back to 2021.
She is the 2022 World Champion in the 4×400, 2022 USATF Outdoor 400m Champion, 2022 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor 400m Champion, and 2021 SEC Indoor 400m Champion.
Off the track, the junior maintains a 3.67 GPA while double majoring in political science and international studies with a regional focus on Asia. Her academic accolades also include 2021 and 2022 USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, as well as 2021 and 2022 SEC Academic Honor Roll awards.
