The Brooklyn Nets have completed their 2023 NBA Draft and have introduced those rookies to the world and as a result, they can shift their focus to matters like free-agency. However, while free-agency is the most impending matter at this time because it begins on June 30, it is always mock trade season.
Brooklyn has not made any trades at this point of the offseason, but it’s clear that they are trying to get something done to make their roster more competitive for 2023-24 and beyond. There have been reports indicating that the Nets are open to trading some of their wing depth if it results in a star-level player or guards and/or bigs to balance out the roster.
Guard Ben Simmons is one of those players that Brooklyn owes a lot of money to for the next two seasons, but has only had his service for 42 games in essentially 1.5 seasons.
