USC basketball freshman Isaiah Collier to wear jersey No. 1 for upcoming season

Can No. 1 make #USC basketball No. 1? We’ll settle for No. 4, because that would mean the Trojans are headed to the Final Four for the first time in 70 years.

The USC Trojans men’s basketball team will be a lot of fun to watch this upcoming season. Boogie Ellis returned, and Bronny James decided to stay in L.A. and play for the Trojans.

However, top freshman Isaiah Collier might be the most appealing Trojan of them all. He has already earned lottery buzz in 2024 NBA mock drafts. Now, Collier has decided to wear jersey No. 1 for the upcoming season.

This comes days after Bronny James made the choice to wear No. 6, which is what his father, LeBron, wears for the Los Angeles Lakers after making the switch from No. 23.

Collier is the No. 1 freshman in the 2023 class, and he is expected to be a massive part of the rotation for Andy Enfield’s team as USC aims to make a deep NCAA Tournament run after losing in the first round this past March.

It’s early, but the hype with Isaiah Collier, Bronny James, Boogie Ellis, Vincent Iwuchukwu, and more has the Trojans pegged as a popular preseason top-15 team in the country.
