The Brooklyn Nets have a lot of matters to consider this offseason as they attempt to make their team as competitive as possible for the near future. More to the point, it looks like there is being more pressure applied to Brooklyn paying what it takes to keep restricted free-agent Cam Johnson with the organization.
Per Brian Lewis of the New York Post, wing Mikal Bridges recently said that he has been telling Johnson that he wants him to stay with the Nets. At the same time, Bridges made sure to tell Lewis that Brooklyn needs to take care of business by paying Johnson what he deserves.
This is not the first time that Bridges has urged the Nets to pay Johnson when free-agency starts on June 30th. Bridges and Johnson are so close that they are referred to as the “twins” and in addition to that, Johnson is one of the best players on the team at this moment. There have been various reports throughout this offseason that Brooklyn is expected to pay what it takes to keep Johnson in Brooklyn as long as the offer sheet is “realistic.”
