Four-star WR cuts list down, sets decision date

The UNC football program has made the top three for a big four-star wide receiver out of Charlotte.

The North Carolina Tar Heels took a step forward in the recruitment for a four-star wide receiver in the 2024 class on Friday.

Charlotte native Jordan Shipp made a big update to his recruitment, cutting his list of 19 offers down to a final three. He will now focus on North Carolina, NC State, and Michigan moving forward.

Shipp has also announced that he will make his decision on July 16th, ending his recruitment. The talented receiver talked to Rivals about the three finalists and had this to say about the Tar Heels where he is on an official visit this weekend:

North Carolina- “I want to see the stuff at North Carolina that I haven’t seen yet,” he said. “I want to see their strength and conditioning program, their nutrition program, how they take care of their players, and how things work there when it comes to NIL. That’s not really a big factor in my decision but I want to compare it to how other schools help. Those are some of the things I want to see because I already know a lot about the offense and I’m cool with all the coaches. I love coach Brown and those guys.”

As it stands right now, Michigan has the lead in the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictor. They have all three predictions right now, all made earlier in the month of June.

But a good visit this weekend could change a lot for the Tar Heels in this race.
