Considering its placement on the PGA Tour schedule, the field for the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic is filled with plenty of the game’s best players.
Two weeks after the U.S. Open in Los Angeles and one after the Travelers Championship, a designated event in Cromwell, Connecticut, a trip to Detroit may not have been on the forefront of player’s minds the weekend before July 4. However, there are plenty of big names teeing it up at Detroit Golf Club, including defending champion Tony Finau.
Finau won in Detroit last year for his second win in as many weeks. He has won twice since then, too, coming at the Cadence Bank Houston Open and the Mexico Open at Vidanta. Finau shot 26 under last year and won by five over Cameron Young, Patrick Cantlay and Taylor Pendrith.
Joining Finau at Detroit Golf Club next week are Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler, among numerous others.
Here is the full field for the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit.
Commitments for next week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic include defending champion Tony Finau and World No. 9 Max Homa. Two-time major champions Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa will make their tournament debuts.
