NBA Draft: Seth Lundy drafted by Atlanta Hawks in Round 2

Atlanta Hawks draft Penn State guard Seth Lundy with mid-second round NBA draft pick.

Former Penn State guard Seth Lundy is officially heading off to the NBA. The Atlanta Hawks used the 46th overall pick, and with the 16th pick of the second round, to select Lundy on Thursday night in the 2023 NBA draft.

Lundy played was a fixture in the Penn State offense for all four years he was on campus, and he is coming off a career year for points per game (14.2), rebounds per game (6.3), and three-point percentage (.400). Lundy was a key player for helping Penn State return to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament for the first time since 2011 and in making a run to the Big Ten championship game last season.

Lundy had a standout showing at the NBA combine leading up to the draft to improve his draft stock, helping to cement his draft outlook as a potential second-round draft prospect.

Lundy became the 15th player all-time to be drafted by an NBA franchise out of Penn State, but he helped make even more program history. Lundy and teammate Jalen Pickett became the first Penn State duo to be drafted in the same NBA draft.
