The list of perks that come with being a professional athlete is seemingly endless. The money and fame are obviously the main two, but there’s another that is usually pretty important to players: becoming immortalized in a video game.
For [autotag]Anthony Black[/autotag], that perk became a reality on Thursday. Ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft, Black was announced as one of only ten draftees who were added to NBA 2K23 – the league’s extremely popular video game franchise.

Black will be a playable character in NBA 2K23’s MyTeam mode, where you collect virtual trading cards of current and former NBA players and assemble a team out of those cards to compete in games online. As of now, virtual Anthony Black is only available – officially – in the MyTeam mode.
So, if you were rushing to NBA 2K23’s franchise mode to add the former Razorback to a current team, you’ll have to hold off on that until later this year.
This is the second big-name brand that Black has announced a deal with in as many days. Black announced via his personal Instagram account that he has partnered with Crocs shoes on Wednesday.
Black will be one of two Razorbacks attending the NBA Draft in person on Thursday night. Draft coverage starts at 7:00 p.m. CT on ESPN.
