3-star defensive end Quintavius Johnson Jr. announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs on Wednesday night.
Johnson, from Mays High School in Atlanta, Georgia, ranks as the nation’s No. 545 overall prospect in the class of 2024.
At 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds, he is Georgia’s 20th commit in the 2024 class, which ranks No. 1 in the nation.
Johnson was working out in Athens on Wednesday and committed later that evening. Georgia originally offered him back in April.
He recently received an offer from Clemson and ended up choosing Georgia over South Carolina and Tennessee.
Johnson also played baseball and basketball, and actually started his high school football career also playing quarterback before transitioning to defensive end full time in 2022, according to his 247Sports player profile.
He is UGA’s ninth in-state commit in the 2024 class, and its eighth on the defensive side of the ball.
