You and I believe that Jimbo Fisher can lead Texas A&M to the mountaintop in the near future, but is that feeling mutual with your fellow social media counterpart?
Michael Bratton, host of “That SEC Podcast,” took to the Twitter timeline on Tuesday to jump in on the latest trend of sparking conversation about Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher. Much like Josh Pate’s Tweet from last week, the social media landscape was ablaze with commentary about the future of the Maroon and White under their leader.
To be fair, the Aggies entering a pivotal season in 2023 is the worst-kept secret in the SEC, perhaps in all of college football for that matter. In spite of holding a 39-21 record in his five seasons at College Station, alongside a perfect 3-0 record in bowl games, Fisher’s latest track record has strayed far away from the path of consistency.
After putting together the best recruiting class in history during the 2022 cycle, Texas A&M went just 5-7 last season and saw a handful of high-profile prospects depart via the transfer portal.
In the aftermath, Bratton is just one of many that wonder whether a turnaround and most specifically a College Football Playoff appearance, is a reality in the Aggies’ future with Jimbo Fisher:

Well, when you throw a heavily loaded question like that into the Twittersphere, you’re bound to get some animated responses. So while Texas A&M boasts a bevy of talent, especially on defense, to make themselves a darkhorse contender, does social media feel the same way?
Check out some of the notable responses below, with a clear consensus that while the path, and talent, are there for the Maroon and White, it’s about backing up that potential with wins on the field.
