It’s impossible to envision Cincinnati Bengals star wideout Ja’Marr Chase on the Miami Dolphins.
Chase’s father, though, didn’t have a problem with it before the draft that brought his son to the Bengals.
Appearing on the “Bengals Booth Podcast” with Dan Hoard, Jimmy Chase admitted that his initial gut reaction during the draft process was for his son to wind up in Miami.
Jimmy Chase said the following: “I was like, ‘I don’t know anything about Cincinnati and they’re not that good right now. So, why don’t we just go to South Beach, right?’ I could just go sit on the beach and watch Ja’Marr on the team, right?”
Also on the podcast? Jimmy Burrow, father of Joe, who played a part in quickly convincing Chase’s parents on Cincinnati itself alongside the reuniting-with-Joe factor.
The friendship has only blossomed since then, with big landmarks such as the fathers celebrating playoff wins together as fun moments of note.
