RB Dalvin Cook interested in teaming up with former Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins

Cook believes it would be “epic” to land with the same team. It is practically impossible for that to happen as both seek lucrative deals.

The Arizona Cardinals released receiver DeAndre Hopkins last month and the Minnesota Vikings recently released running back Dalvin Cook. Both are among the best in the league at their respective positions.

Both are unsigned.

Cook, appearing on the Adam Schefter Podcast, said he would be interested in teaming up with Hopkins, giving their new team a dynamic offensive duo.

“If we end up on the same roster, that would be something epic for the NFL,” he told Schefter, via ESPN.

“I know his mindset, and I done play against D-Hop a numerous amount of times,” Cook said. “When I’ve been with D-Hop, we done chill together, we done been around each other like, and it’s like I kind of see the person that he is like, he want to win and that’s what my mind at to.”

Now, here’s the thing. As great as it would be to add both to a team, there is a major obstacle. Both seek big contracts. Hopkins seeks at least $15 million and Cook is looking for a significant deal.

A team might be able to swing one of the two players but it would be highly unlikely to land both, especially on a team already set to compete in 2023.

So…good luck?
