The Warriors are reportedly receiving trade calls on a pair of former first round picks.

Mike Dunleavy Jr.’s rookie campaign as newly appointed general manager of the Golden State Warriors is quickly picking up steam. With the NBA draft inching closer, rumors are beginning to spin across the association.

Golden State is also getting calls on Kuminga, they’re getting calls on Jordan Poole. They have the 19th pick in next week’s draft. So Mike Dunleavy Jr. isn’t getting no training wheels going into this job.

Following the Warriors second-round exit, questions have loomed over the future of Poole and Kuminga in the Bay Area.

After being a key part of Golden State’s run to a championship in 2022, Poole struggled in the 2023 postseason, averaging 10.3 points on 34.1% shooting from the field and 25.4% shooting from beyond the arc with 3.5 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game in the playoffs.

Kuminga finished his second season in the NBA strongly down the stretch. However, the 2021 first round pick fell out of Steve Kerr’s rotation in the postseason. Despite averaging double-figure scoring numbers over his last 13 regular-season games, Kuminga 3.4 points in 6.1 minutes per game in the playoffs.

The Warriors are set to enter a pivotal offseason with multiple questions they need to answer while trying to reload a roster that can go for a deep run in the playoffs with new leadership in the front office.
