After Bob Myers departure from the front office already on the books to start the offseason, the Golden State Warriors are now set to lose a member of their coaching staff.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Toronto Raptors are hiring Warriors assistant coach Jama Mahlalela as a top assistant on new head coach Darko Rajakovic’s staff up north.

Mahlalela joined Steve Kerr’s coaching staff before the Warriors’ run to a title in 2022. Mahlalela was named director of player development along with sitting on the bench with Kerr as an assistant.
Prior to his time with the Warriors, Mahlalela coached in Toronto from 2013-2021. During his time in Toronto, Mahlalela served as the Raptors’ G League Affiliate head coach.
