USC is highly interested in Carlsbad three-star athlete

USC is trying to flip an Arizona Wildcat commit. The Trojans are already known for raiding the Wildcats in the transfer portal.

USC is trying to engineer a flip in the month of June. Three-star Southern California product Luke Ferrelli announced his pledge to the Arizona Wildcats on Twitter in April. However, Ferrelli is still on the radar of the USC Trojans.

Ferrelli, a 6-3, 215-pound Carlsbad, California, native, selected Arizona over UNLV, Utah State, Nevada, San Jose State, Cornell and Dartmouth, among others, but now Texas A&M and USC have entered the chat.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Ferrelli is ranked by 247Sports as the 112th-best linebacker in the country and the No. 111 prospect from California.

Texas A&M and Jimbo Fisher offered Ferrelli, but they have him offered as a tight end. The Carlsbad native is listed as an athlete on his Twitter page.

In two seasons at Carlsbad High School, Ferrelli recorded 76 tackles, 13.5 stops for loss, eight quarterback pressures, five pass breakups and three sacks.

USC has memorably raided Arizona for transfers in the portal, so we’ll see if the Trojans can now flip a recruitment from Tucson to Los Angeles.
