After offering on Tuesday, the Iowa Hawkeyes leapt to the top of the board for 2024 defensive back prospect Rashad Godfrey.
A 6-foot-2, 185-pound recruit out of Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida, Godfrey told Rivals reporter Eliot Clough of Go Iowa Awesome that the Hawkeyes are No. 1 on his list.
Naturally, it didn’t take long for Clough to submit a Rivals futurecast for Godfrey to land with the Hawkeyes. Similarly, Sean Bock of 247Sports’ Hawkeye Insider issued a crystal ball prediction in favor of Iowa. Both Clough and Bock are reporting Godfrey will take an official visit to Iowa this month.
Per 247Sports, Iowa joins a list of offers that includes Power Five programs Boston College and Duke. Godfrey also holds offers from Arkansas State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Connecticut, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Jackson State, Liberty, North Dakota State, Tennessee Tech, Tulane, USF and Western Michigan. He is unranked across the major recruiting sites.
Here’s a look at Godfrey’s junior season Hudl highlights with Armwood. Plus, his full recruiting profile and a look at who is already committed to the Hawkeyes in the 2024 class.
