This is what we expected to hear, but it’s still good news: Nola.com’s Jeff Duncan reports that the New Orleans Saints expect 100% attendance” at this week’s minicamp practice sessions, a mandatory three-day series of workouts at the team’s Ochsner Sports Performance Center in Metairie.

Absentees are subject to as much as $98,753 in NFL fines, so it’s not a surprise that no one is expected to skip out (though of course some players managing injuries will be sidelined from team drills). Still, it’s good to see that the Saints won’t be dealing with any holdouts or contract disputes, as is the case for other teams around the league.

84 of the Saints’ 90 players have already reported for work during at least one week of the team’s three-week voluntary practice sessions, with the remaining six players all being veterans who don’t really need the extra work to prepare for the upcoming season. But it’s still a relief to know they’ll have all hands on deck in the buildup to training camp in late July.
