Here are three reasons why teams should want to acquire Tobias Harris from the Philadelphia 76ers in the offseason.

Philadelphia 76ers veteran Tobias Harris will be a popular name floated in trade circles throughout the 2023 offseason. He is due to make $39 million in the 2023-24 season in the final year of his contract, which makes him a valuable piece in a trade.

Now, some will look at the dollar amount Harris is making and compare it to his season averages of 14.7 points and 5.7 rebounds and say the production doesn’t match the contract. However, he is essentially the fourth option in the offense behind Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey. When he got his opportunities, he took advantage, shooting 50.1% from the floor and 38.9% from deep.

Now, considering that production, maybe the Sixers don’t trade him. Maybe they keep him in tow and continue to build toward a title. If it doesn’t work, his contract comes off the books in the 2024 offseason.
