The 2023 NBA Draft is just 13 days away and it could be a historic one for [autotag]Eric Musselman[/autotag] and Arkansas basketball.
Four former Razorbacks – Anthony Black, Ricky Council IV, Jordan Walsh and Nick Smith Jr. – are entered into the draft and will wait to hear their name called on June 22. Out of those four, [autotag]Anthony Black[/autotag] is currently projected to be the first Hog off the board.
ESPN.com has Black slated to go No. 8 overall to the Washington Wizards, while both The Ringer and USA Today’s ForTheWin have him going No. 9 overall to the Utah Jazz. If those projections are correct, Black will be the highest Razorback selected in the first round since Joe Johnson in 2001 (No. 10 overall to the Boston Celtics).
Ahead of the draft, Black sat down for an in-depth interview with NBA insider Shams Charania. During the interview, he opened up about a wide range of topics including what type of player teams will be getting, advantages of playing football and soccer in high school, his NBA role models and goals for his rookie season.
