Tennessee junior pitcher Chase Dollander received third-team academic All-America honors from the College Sports Communicators.
Dollander received national recognition for the first time after earning CSC All-District honors in May.
To earn All-America status, student-athletes first qualify for an all-district team with a 3.50 cumulative grade point average at his or her institution and participate in 50 percent of his or her team’s games at the position listed on the nomination form.
Pitchers must appear in 10.0 innings.
Dollander ranks 11th nationally in strikeouts per nine innings (12.81). He ranks fourth in the SEC with a career-high 111 strikeouts in 2023.
He has a 3.78 GPA as and is majoring in recreation and sport management.
