After reports emerged this spring that the Denver Broncos were fielding trade calls about their wide receivers, Courtland Sutton seemed to voice his discontent on social media when he tweeted, “I just want to be where I’m wanted and appreciated.”
Sutton has since changed his tune.
The Broncos ultimately decided to not trade any of their receivers, despite receiving interest from at least one team for Sutton. Speaking to media members after a practice session Thursday, Sutton said he was “flattered” other teams showed interest, but he’s glad to be in Denver.
“It’s flattering that other teams see me as a guy that can come in and be a guy for them,” Sutton said. “I love that I’m here. This is where ultimately — you guys know — that I want to be at. It’s home. … Everybody’s bought in.”
No hard feelings, right?
Sutton seems to have moved past the trade drama, and the Broncos have, too. Bring on the football!
