It has been reported by multiple sources, including GigEm247’s Carter Karels and AggiesToday, that Texas A&M football’s director of player personnel, Kevin Mashack, is no longer employed with the program. After joining the Aggies last April, changes to the position were rumored at the end of the 2022 season, but nothing was confirmed then.
The Job, which is already available on Linkedin, and in a brief description, every viable candidate will be tasked with,
“The Associate Athletics Director will oversee and coordinate all of the administrative duties in recruiting for the football program. He will oversee and manage the football office, football operations and the execution of football camps. The position will also serve as the athletics department liaison when organizations and other departments are working in conjunction with football. He will work closely with the head coach to put a process in place to help them recruit the best student-athletes for Texas A&M, as well as serve as a football ambassador both within and outside of campus.”
Mashacks’ departure was more than confirmed after his official profile page on 12thman.com was eliminated; the longtime front-office veteran will surely be a hot commodity on the open market.
Mashack, who completed both his bachelor’s degree (sociology) and master’s degree (education) at TSU, his extensive coaching/personnel career spans more than a decade, spending time with Tennessee State (2007-2013, 2015-2021), sometime in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2013-2015), and before joining the Aggies, spend a short time with Indiana University.
