NFL QB coaches are higher on Caleb Williams than Bryce Young or CJ Stroud

You have probably read or heard about this before, but continued analysis isn’t changing this view of Caleb Williams.

You have very likely heard or read at some point over the past six weeks that Caleb Williams is a better NFL prospect than Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud, the top two picks (and quarterbacks) in the 2023 NFL draft.

One college football reporter and analyst wanted to talk to NFL quarterback coaches. Is this really true? Is it still the prevailing line of thought?

Bruce Feldman of The Athletic wanted to find out. Here are his findings:

“NFL QB coaches I spoke to this spring are higher on him than they were on Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud,” Feldman wrote. “Williams is thick and strong, and his ability to extend plays and make off-platform throws is ridiculous. He’s in a great system to showcase his talent, and having Kliff Kingsbury around in the meetings and helping out with game planning will only make him that much more dangerous.”

There’s your answer in plain English. It couldn’t be any clearer.
