Back at the start of the Cincinnati Bengals voluntary workout program, Tee Higgins and Jonah Williams were the notable absences.

Higgins eventually showed up, while Williams continued to rehab and work out away from the team.

Fast forward to right now at Bengals OTAs, Williams and a few other players weren’t at the practices and locker room sessions open to reporters on Tuesday.

Andrew Gillis of Cleveland.com summarized the list:

  • WR Tyler Boyd
  • OT Jonah Williams
  • OL Devin Cochran
  • DT DJ Reader

No concerns on the list, considering absences could be for a wide range of reasons. Still, worth pointing out — just like it’s worth highlighting that right tackle La’el Collins was accounted for but sitting out while he rehabs his injury (one he says he’s planning to quickly recover from).

Most notable of all remains Williams, whose trade request after the arrival of Orlando Brown Jr. didn’t lead to movement. He’s working away from the team and rehabbing but should be at training camp later in the summer, barring a shocker.
