WATCH: Texans QB C.J. Stroud works with RB Dameon Pierce

Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud was able to get in work with second-year running back Dameon Pierce during OTAs on June 6.

One of the most anticipated backfield combinations Clutch City sports fans want to see is the partnership of C.J. Stroud and Dameon Pierce.

The Houston Texans found their bell-cow running back last season with Pierce, who generated 939 rushing yards and six touchdowns in just 13 games. Pair Pierce with a talented field general, and the Texans’ offense could have a two-dimensional approach that could attack defenses.

Stroud and Pierce were able to work together during Texans OTAs at Houston Methodist Training Center in video shot by KPRC-TV’s Aaron Wilson.

The No. 2 overall pick threw the former 2022 fourth-rounder a simple dump off, but there is no doubt more collaboration in the works with Stroud and Pierce.
