Mack Brown and the UNC football program landed a big time recruit but he won’t only be playing football.
Three-star tight end Tim Lawson has committed to North Carolina on Monday, fresh off a visit to the program over the weekend. The visit was enough for Lawson to make up his mind and in the end he has picked the Tar Heels.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Lawson committed to play football as well as baseball at North Carolina. It’s a big commitment not only for Brown but for baseball coach Scott Forbes, a day after the team’s season ended in the Terre Haute Regional.

The recruit is ranked No. 59 tight end and the No. 144 player in the state of Florida per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
