All offseason and even during the 2022 season, the talk of the Baltimore Ravens was of quarterback Lamar Jackson’s contract. The talk was finally put to rest in April when Jackson signed a five-year contract extension that made him the highest-paid player in the NFL in terms of average annual value
Baltimore tight end Mark Andrews consistently pounded the table for Jackson to remain with the Ravens, and got his wish once pen was put to paper. Andrews was asked about how different the vibes are now from last season and even in January of this year, to which he began his answer with “Thank God man”.

“Just thank God, man. It’s a lot of stress relief. Obviously, [I] have a ton of respect for ‘Snoop’ [Tyler Huntley] and Anthony [Brown] and the other guys that are here, but, obviously, I’ve been here with Lamar [Jackson] since Day One. There was a lot of uncertainty, [but] in my mind I never had a doubt, because that’s my guy. I’m just happy, man. I’m happy he’s here; I’m happy he’s here for good. And like I always say, that’s my quarterback.”
